Sprint Spikes
If you have taken up running as a hobby, having a good pair of running shoes is a requirement. Running shoes protect your feet when running. Owning a pair of running shoes can also aid you in your performance. There are many running shoes with spikes that can help you increase your speed in running.
Sprint running is defined as a short running race, and it requires a completely different pair of shoes. Even if all shoes used for running have spike soles (with the spike generally called “track spike”), specifically-designed spikes are used on sprint shoes. Sprint runners should buy shoes that have sprint spikes.
Sprint shoe spikes are the lightest spikes available in the market, having no cushion or padding in the heels. These types of spikes are more stiff than the others. The spike plate is focused at the bottom, which are below the toes so that it pushes the runner to run using his or her toes. This type of spike is created with minimalistic design, omitting as much material as possible for a lighter weight. The lighter the shoes the faster a person can run.
If you want to engage in running at high speeds, it is advisable to use sprint running spikes to boost your performance. Such is the effectiveness of sprint running spikes that it is advisable for 400m runners. Sprint running spikes are recommended to those who run faster than roughly 52 seconds at about 400m. Maria Motile, a popular sprint runner belongs to the top class 800m, and always uses sprint spikes when running. Other sprint running spikes do have zip up fronts for increased movement. This type of spikes has a relatively smooth surface.
Sprint running spikes, although always exclusive to sprint running, can also be used for other track activities. For some, using sprint spikes for long jump works for them. Sprint running spikes are better to be used in long jump than trainers. Although, it is better for someone to use jump shoes on long jumps, beginners can use their running shoes, and won’t find many flaws in their performance. Some excellent track shoes are made by Adidas, Nike, Asics, Reebok, Brooks and Puma.
If you are serious about sprinting, it is important that you own track shoes because they are lightweight, which makes you run faster than using a regular shoe or spikes that are used in other track and field activities. Many people have enjoyed the benefits of having a pair of sprint running shoes to help them run faster.

Great Shoes
ASICS Men's Turbo Phantom Track & Field Shoe - I run high school track and I am a sprinter. I got these spikes for the 200m race and they are great. They feel comfortable and snug plus they give a great grip to the track, especially on the turn. I know of two hurdlers on my team that wear these same shoes for the 400m hurdles and the 110m hurdles. I highly recommend these spikes.
